Main presentation 10:05-11:00 am:   ELISSA SCALISE POWELL, CG®, CGLSM on RUBIK'S CUBE GENEALOGY: A NEW TWIST ON YOUR OLD DATA.  (Elissa will present this remotely from Pennsylvania.)   By twisting your data by sources, geography, and chronology, holes and discrepancies will become more apparent, and may suggest further clues. Discussion includes: timelines, genograms, lineage society applications, land platting, and writing the family narrative.  

ELISSA SCALISE POWELL i is a certified western Pennsylvania researcher and co-director of the Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburgh (GRIP). She is also a Certified Genealogical Lecturer and serves as the course coordinator for “Genealogy as a Profession” at the Institute for Genealogy and Historical Research (IGHR) in Athens, Georgia.  She is the author of two chapters in the 2018 Professional Genealogy book. She is a regional and national speaker on such topics as Pennsylvania records, methodology, professional development, and society management. She was honored with the Association of Professional Genealogists 2017 Professional Achievement Award for which she received multiple nominations.  More information about her is at .

For the class from 11:10 am-Noon MDT, MARILYN THOMSEN will teach us about NEW TOOLS TO EFFECTIVELY USE SOURCES IN FAMILYSEARCH.   This class will also be broadcast live on Facebook.  Log on again to watch the class.  

If you have trouble watching online and want to attend in-person both the main presentation and the class, since Utah is lifting some of the Coronavirus restrictions and up to 20 people can meet together now, a few can attend the meeting in the "Red Chape, if you wear a face mask and keep your social distance from each other.  When we can all meet in-person again after the Coronavirus pandemic, we will have additional classes, as before.
